DOX BOX's annual showcase of what's new in Syrian Documentary
Films in 'Voices from Syria' compete for the 'DOX BOX - Soora' Award,
granted by an international committee.

In every edition, DOX BOX dedicates a sidebar to one of today's
greatest filmmakers. In 2011, British filmmaker, Kim Longinotto,
will be the guest of honor.

Our beautiful departed filmmaker, mentor and friend, played a major role in the launching and the progress of many initiatives of documentary film in Syria & around the region. His support came out of a deep sense of hope & optimism, that a better world is possible. With Omar’s departure, DOX BOX will be announcing different initiatives making sure his legacy, films & his generosity are kept alive. Today, after his sudden & saddening death, DOX BOX is screening three of his films.

or away to richer countries, It is the dream of living better… Selected in this
sidebar are a few glances on people working towards better lives…

Men's problems and ways are studied and analyzed much less than those
of women. DOX BOX 2011 is suggesting that we take a close and profound
glance at Men.
