DOX BOX is a non-competitive creative documentary film festival that offers only one award, the Audience Award, based on Damascus audience's votes for films of the Official Selection. The Audience Award consists of a cash prize of 150,000 Syrian Pounds (approx. USD 3000) and the trophy, presented to the director(s).

DOX BOX 08's Audience Award was granted to Aleksander Manic from Serbia for his film the Shutka Book of Records
