Accreditation
What is DOX BOX Accreditation?
An Accreditation for DOX BOX identifies you as a “professional visitor” giving you access to the professional activities running at the only independent creative documentary film festival in Syria.
1. There are two types of Accreditation in DOX BOX 09:
Standard Accreditation and Press Accreditation
2. DOX BOX accreditations are personalised, with your photo and are non-transferable.
3. Failure to payment will result in cancellation of accreditation

Deadline
Accreditation application was closed on February 15th 2009. We thank all the applicants.
Fees
Fee is charged to be paid beforehand when applications have been processed and accepted. Please choose from the following:
Standard AccreditationFee: SYP 7500 / €118 / $165. (incl. 3 nights in fest hotel, for non-residents)
Press Accreditation Fee: SYP 7500 / €118 / $165. (incl. 3 nights in fest hotel, for non-residents)
Special Terms & Waivers
Press Accreditation fees are waived for press representatives residing in Syria.
Press Accreditation Doesn't allow access to "Writing the Documentary" & "Producer's Meeting", these two events are restricted.
What Access do I get by having a Standard Accreditation?
What Access do I get by having a Press Accreditation?
Standard Accreditation is targeted towards professionals in the International documentary film industry including funds, festivals, tv commissioning editors, distributors, filmmakers and producers.
A Standard Accreditation grants you the following:

Access to all DOX BOX public film screenings - including Q & A sessions, seminars and master classes.

Opportunities to participate in DOX BOX’s ‘Open Day’ to meet other guests and discuss projects with representatives from 16 international film festivals and funds including IDFA, Arab fund for Arts and Culture, and the Jan Vrijman Fund among others.

Attending the ‘Producers Meetings’ looking at Arab Documentary as a case-study for the process of making the documentary – from conception and development to financing and international co-production and international festivals’ round.

One-on-one consultations on projects.

Access to industry non-formal social activities – such as breakfasts, dinners and evening activities

3 nights (Bed & Breakfast) at the festival hotel will be granted to all accredited guests.

An industry Catalogue with information about all accredited professionals attending DOX BOX 09 – including:
- Profiles of the 16 festivals & funds represented in DOX BOX 09
- A profile for all young filmmakers with projects in development and in production participating in the Writing Workshop
- A who’s who directory of festivals & funds
- Guest lists.
- Half-page presentation of each accredited guest respective institution, being it festivals, funds, companies, projects, or press associations

Press Accreditation is targeted towards critics and journalists both independant and representatives of press associations or tv channels.
A Press Accreditation grants you the following:
- Access to all DOX BOX public film screenings - including Q & A sessions, seminars and master classes.
- Opportunities to participate in DOX BOX’s ‘Open Day’ to meet other guests and representatives from 16 international film festivals and funds and learn about the filmmaking industry exciting and rarely revealed information.
- Get facilitation and service from our Press Office, directly, including arranging interviews, access to videos and mateiral for your coverage.
- Access to industry non-formal social activities – such as breakfasts, dinners and evening activities
- 3 nights (Bed & Breakfast) at the festival hotel will be granted to all accredited guests.
- An industry Catalogue with information about all accredited professionals attending DOX BOX 09 – including:
- Profiles of all filmmakers, representatives of funds & festivals, tv executives and other guests participating in DOX BOX.
- A profile for all young filmmakers with projects in development and in production participating in the Writing Workshop
- A who’s who directory of festivals & funds
- Guest lists.
- Half-page presentation of each accredited guest respective institution, being it festivals, funds, companies, projects, or press associations

> DOX BOX 09 may be able to accept Press Accreditation applications arriving after February 15th, however, late applicants will not be featured in the Industry Catalogue, for technical reasons.
