Italian documentary filmmaker Alina Marazzi tries to piece together the life of her mother who passed away in 1972 when she was 7 years old. Through a patchwork of home movies, recordings and diary entries, Alina crafts a moving tribute to memory, women, life, and family. Alina's voice is used to narrates her mother's life story. A story of a mother, a wife, a child and first of all a human.

Alina Marazzi

 

Born in 1964, graduated as filmmaker from London in 1989. She lives and works in Milan. She worked as 1st AD on feature films, with Italian directors Giuseppe Piccioni, Piergiorgio Gay, Giovanni Maderna, Paolo Rosa, Antonio Syxty. She teaches film direction at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Alina is also an author of short stories and essays published on daily papers and magazines.
